Arthur Conan Doyle’s humorous, adventure-filled tales about Etienne Gerard, a Napoleonic soldier, are his finest historical fiction. Five of them are set in the Iberian Peninsula.

Clifford Goldfarb is the author of The Great Shadow: Arthur Conan Doyle, Brigadier Gerard, and Napoleon.

Presented jointly by the Ottawa Chapter and the Toronto Chapter.
